Global HR Business Partner

The Global Human Resources Business Partner leads and manages the people management related agenda for his/her internal clients. The Global Human Resources Business Partner is a challenging role that requires stakeholder management skills, strategic planning & implementation experience and a keen understanding of the internal clients’ business. S/he must have the ability to persuade and influence management at multiple levels of the organization and the capacity to actively engage and guide the leaders. S/he shares, in partnership, with his/her internal client the responsibility for the goals and targets of the related people strategy.


Strategy Development
  • Translate business priorities into a human resources agenda that supports the organization and its business goals
  • Conduct strategic analysis and support execution of strategic plans

Organizational Effectiveness
  • Proactively identify gaps, determine root cause, and propose and implement changes to cover risks
  • Act as a performance improvement driver and provoke positive changes in people management and engagement
  • Partner with leaders on planning and communications related to change management and working through organizational design to drive role clarity at the individual and team level
  • Work with business and Human Resources to design and implement formal or informal initiatives to improve the performance of the organization
  • Review and analyze business/functional data to identify trends, and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention and employee experience
  • Challenge the organizational structure of his/her client groups and propose changes

Talent Development
  • Actively participate in the selection of talent at the management/ leadership levels
  • Facilitate the design of succession plans for key talent and key job positions
  • Act as a performance improvement driver and provoke positive changes in the management of people
  • Project and Program Management
  • Accountable for the relationship with business leaders; orchestrates the delivery and implementation of core human resources programs and processes through Centers of Excellence and/or Regional and Country Human Resources Business Partners

  • Coach business leaders on people related matters
  • Provide coaching to build leadership capabilities and to address and resolve issues
  • Facilitate the leadership team to bring best solutions for the function/department
  • Build long term and trusting relationships with clients and Human Resources colleagues
  • Mentor other Human Resources colleagues and/or act as an advisor or coach
Demonstrates integrity in all business interactions and honors personal commitments
Business and human resources acumen, including problem solving skills and strategic thinking
Able to draw in multiple perspectives to drive people management decision-making for client-centered solutions
Has knowledge of the business and its intricacies and is able to communicate in business terms
Strong collaborator with business partners, Human Resources leaders, Human Resources Business Partners, and Centers of Excellence leaders
Proven consulting skills with an ability to influence in all directions
Can balance compassion and toughness in coaching others and leading through change
Comfortable consulting, coaching, and facilitating
Excellent communicator; ability to influence effectively and cultivate strong relationships
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with change while being enthusiastic, flexible in approach, and open to new learning
Project and program management expertise
Highly comfortable with data and spreadsheets with the ability to improve organizational performance by analyzing and applying critical data to business decisions and planning
Is a consistent high achiever with the motivation, tenacity, energy, and resilience to see things through to successful completion
Maintain a positive, results oriented work environment, building partnerships and modeling teamwork, communicating to the team in an open, balanced and objective manner
Participate in formal staff review processes, e.g., performance and salary reviews to corporate standards and timescales
