Associate Software Engineer

Parexel is hiring an Associate Software Engineer to play a key role in the implementation of COTS applications as well as design, development, testing and maintenance of the clinical applications. The Associate Software Engineer will be expected to provide a solution to business requirements with offering functional design and implementation. Associate Software Engineer also collaborates with peers, product owner, Scrum master to deliver releases in agile development practice. The position participates in a team of software engineers and requires adherence to FDA regulations such as 21 CFR Part 11 and GCP.

Key Accountabilities
  • Perform design, coding and testing of features
  • Implementation of COTS applications
  • Investigate issues reported both internally and through support, and identify root causes and provide solutions to those issues
  • Investigate new technology and updates for their impact on development and ensure that the team is aware of any technical changes that need to be implemented
  • Participate in Agile Project & Task Planning as well as Sprint development progress
  • Adherence to the SDLC and published programming standards

Qualifications

  • 1 year of programming experience in Java or C#, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, SQL, PL/SQL (this can include classroom work)
  • B.S in computer related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Good understanding of data structure and usage
  • Good Object-oriented design and programming knowledge
  • Demonstrable problem solving competence
  • Detail oriented, flexible, and works well in a team-oriented environment. Ability to work in deadline driven environment
  • Programming experience with the following –
    • Object-oriented programming language, such as Java, C#
    • Scripting language, such as JavaScript
  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
