Medical Writing Trainee
Job ID 81550BR USA - Any Region - Home BasedIf you are or will be a 2022 university graduate with a Bachelor's life-science degree who is interested in a career in Regulatory Medical Writing for the pharmaceutical industry, Parexel Medical Writing Services is offering a paid 6-month intensive Trainee Program that will begin this Summer. Our medical writing staff will meet with and train you on medical writing as it relates to drug development and clinical trials management. This is a paid, full-time (40 hours/week), remote opportunity. Those who successfully complete the program may be offered a full time role as a medical writer at Parexel.
By joining the Medical Writing Services Trainee Program, you’ll learn from some of the best minds in the industry to get new treatments to patients who need them most. Parexel supports the development of innovative new medicines to improve the health of patients. We provide services to help life sciences and biopharmaceutical customers everywhere transform scientific discoveries into new treatments.
Under departmental supervision and training, the Trainee Medical Writer will participate in the Medical Writing Services Training Program and contribute to the preparation of assigned clinical documents, where required. The Trainee Medical Writer must be conscientious, able to work well under close scrutiny and implement feedback, have an aptitude for working with different software programs, exhibit a high degree of flexibility and initiative, demonstrate the ability to perform and follow up on assigned tasks and projects, and possess the ability to handle matters of a confidential nature.
Qualifications
Skills:• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication.
• A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and training.
• Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in a matrix management environment and to value the importance of teamwork.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs.
Knowledge and Experience:
• No work experience is required.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences/Health Related Sciences
