What does a day in the life of your role look like?

My role revolves around preparing regulatory dossiers for submission to Competent Authorities. These dossiers are crucial for obtaining marketing or clinical trial authorization for innovative drug products, with a specific focus on Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) aspects.

A typical day involves close collaboration with clients and various stakeholders. We discuss and define strategies, document content, and timelines for submission to authorities. Once we've established a plan, a significant portion of my work is dedicated to preparing and reviewing documents for the dossier. This phase is particularly demanding and involves multiple meetings and communications with stakeholders. We gather information, address critical issues, and integrate suggestions while keeping an eye on deadlines and overall strategy.

It's important to note that our work doesn't end with dossier submission. These documents are living entities, requiring constant attention. We must be prepared to respond to questions from competent authorities and ensure all information remains up-to-date and aligned.

What attracted you to the Clinical Research industry?

I was drawn to this field by the opportunity to work in an international environment and be part of the journey of developing new, innovative products. The global nature of clinical research and the chance to contribute to groundbreaking medical advancements were key factors in my decision.

What aspect of your job do you find most rewarding?

What truly excites me is the opportunity to follow a product's entire development journey. Being involved from the initial concept all the way through to its use in patients is incredibly fulfilling. It's a unique perspective that allows me to see the tangible impact of our work on healthcare and patient lives.

Outside of work, I find joy in activities that help me recharge and stay grounded. I'm an avid trekker and reader, which allows me to explore both physically and mentally. I also have a small garden where I grow vegetables. Tending to my garden not only provides a relaxing hobby but also connects me to nature and the satisfaction of growing my own food. These pursuits offer a refreshing contrast to my professional work and help maintain a healthy work-life balance.
