Parexel's Recognition Program "Bravo!" – work where you feel valued!

At Parexel, we think it’s more important to receive ongoing validation that you are doing a good job, instead of a one-time benefit. Taking pride in the quality of your work, and hearing someone say, ‘I couldn’t do this without you,’ is just so important.

Our employees are set up within an online program to receive recognition all year round, and the program is aligned with our core values:

Within the platform, there are four different ways individuals can be acknowledged: Colleagues-to-Colleague, Manager Discretionary, Service Anniversary, and Life Events.

The four modules of recognition:


This section of the recognition program is about saying thank you to your colleagues, letting them know that they have exhibited an action that supports our values and culture—like collaboration, efficiency, respect, and more. This is an opportunity to acknowledge those people, who are making it possible to win business, on the frontline and in the background. It’s special to be recognized and hear, "You really helped me with my problem, I was so relaxed and calm, it was wonderful." Moments like these make our challenging work worthwhile and remind us why we work at Parexel.

Manager Discretionary

This component is for managers to celebrate their team members by giving points and kind words; telling a team member they have made a difference in any part of our value system. The points can be exchanged for many gifts in our Recognition Shop, which offers merchandise and experiences to choose from. They can select a gift for themselves or for their loved ones. The options differ a bit by country, taking into consideration both country-specific regulations and cultural differences. We want to make sure there is something for everyone.

Service Anniversary

The third module is a service anniversary page, where peers can congratulate their colleagues for reaching a significant service milestone. The employee also receives points to get themselves something nice or save for something big.

Life Events

In some countries, we have a fourth module to congratulate a colleague on a big life event. Similar to the anniversary module, this is a page for a special occasion, like a wedding or the birth of a child.

Building on the momentum of our recent Best CRO win at the annual Scrip Awards, it’s clear that we’re doing great things together on behalf of our customers and patients around the globe — and NOW more than ever is the perfect time to pause and say thank you. Bravo!

WorkHappier™ Award 2019

BI WORLDWIDE awarded Parexel the WorkHappier™ Award for the success of our Parexel Recognition Program. Nancy, former Benefits Manager at Parexel, accepted the award on behalf of Parexel.

The WorkHappier™ Award recognizes our exceptional commitment to employee engagement and recognition and highlights the careful consideration and attention to detail taken to launch our global employee recognition program to 19K+ employees. Addressing technology, languages, and cultural differences were key to ensuring the program would succeed. Now in its fifth year, the engagement of employees with the program speaks for itself.

  • More than 95 percent of employees have logged into the website to participate, and more than ten countries have achieved 100 percent participation.
  • An average of 350 recognitions are sent each day.
  • In the second quarter of 2019 (calendar year), 350,000 recognitions were sent using the program.
