"Our jobs, our fundamental work in clinical research, is impacted by having diverse clinical trials. And it’s hard to actually do that if you don’t reflect it as a company."
Quote by Peyton Howell, Chief Executive Officer, from the below video where our Executive Leadership Team share about DEI at Parexel.
Our Approach to Inclusion
We drive inclusion through a strategic three-pillar strategy of Patients, People and Suppliers supported by an Executive Committee.
Patient Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Our approach to diversity and inclusion in clinical trials is reshaping the industry, helping to ensure trials are reflective of real patient populations. We’ve engaged with more than 75 Patient Advocacy Groups (PAGs) worldwide while leveraging groundbreaking roles like our Chief Patient Officer to enhance the engagement and experience of the patients we serve. Parexel is dedicated to being "Patient's first" and to doing it With Heart™, ensuring that patient inclusion becomes business as usual.

"We have to think bigger picture. Yes, we have the commitment to deliver on time and on budget for a particular project. But we also have an obligation to help sponsors to think about the end-to-end development, that is where the patient's voice is really important."

Supplier Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
We're committed to increasing supply chain diversity by expanding our supplier base. In 2023, we spent over 11.7% of our addressable total with small and diverse suppliers.
To support this effort, we've joined several Supplier Diversity Initiatives, including partnerships with Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) organizations and Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) affiliates.
Our Procurement team has updated its strategies to promote supplier diversity and sustainability. This includes modifying agreement templates to include diversity and sustainability clauses and implementing the "Rule of 1+" program, which ensures at least one diverse supplier is included in all requests for proposals (RFPs).
