Make your professional profile easier to discover

Your experience matters. Make it easier for clinical research recruiters to find it.

Whether you work in clinical operations, data management, regulatory affairs, patient recruitment, or another area of clinical research, your profile is an opportunity to showcase what you know and the impact you make.

Start with the right keywords

Help recruiters connect your skills to the right opportunities. Recruiters often search for specific job titles, skills, systems and areas of experience. Make sure your profile reflects the work you do and the experience you want to highlight.  Use relevant terms naturally in your headline, About section, experience and skills. Review job descriptions to find common keywords and terminology.

What to include:

  • Your role and specialty (CRA, Clinical Trial Manager, Data Manager, etc)
  • Technical Expertise (Power BI, SAP, EDC systems, etc)
  • Your knowledge and skills (safety reporting, protocol management, project management, data analysis, etc)
  • Therapeutic experience (oncology, cardiology, rare disease, etc)
  • A profile that matches your resume, with a current professional photo

Go beyond responsibilities

Your experience section should tell a story about your contributions, not just list the tasks you performed. Use specific examples and include measurable results when possible.  Make your achievements more specific. This could include:

  • Number of sites, studies or projects supported
  • Enrollment or retention improvements
  • Study milestones achieved
  • Quality or compliance metrics
  • Process improvements or time saved

Write an About section that sounds like you.

Give Recruiters a quick understanding of your expertise. Use your About section to explain your background, strengths and the kind of work you bring to clinical research.

  • Your expertise- What is your current role or area of focus?
  • Your experience- Which therapeutic areas or systems are relevant?
  • Your strengths- What do you do well?
  • Your interests- What kind of challenges or opportunities interest you?

Make your skills and credentials count

Help recruiters quickly identify your qualifications. Add relevant skills, therapeutic areas and credentials that match your background and roles you're interested in.  Examples include:

  • Clinical trial management and site monitoring
  • GCP (Good Clinical Practice)
  • Data management and data quality
  • Regulatory documentation and compliance
  • Professional certifications

Keep your profile current

A few small updates can go a long way. Check the essentials:

  • Use a professional photo
  • Write a compelling headline
  • Update your location (and work preferences)
  • Review your experience and dates
  • Keep skills and certifications current
  • Follow relevant organizations and topics
  • Build genuine connections
