EP Clinical Project Manager (Project Manager)

The Project Manager is accountable for the successful delivery of projects and programs by delivering on time, on budget, and to the highest quality while remaining compliant with ICH, GCP, and other applicable regulations. Project Managers lead the Parexel and sponsor teams by combining clinical research experience and project management skills with insight into sponsor pressures and an ability to develop the right solution for each. This requires in-depth business understanding, knowledge, experience and flexibility to make informed and effective decisions independently. By providing overall leadership of EP clinical trials, the PM ensures the project teams achieve operational excellence and successful execution of the clinical operations and logistical strategy.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Own the sponsor relationship by being the central point contact and single point of escalation on behalf of the functional teams
  • Proactively communicate with relative groups to ensure they have all information required related to project progress (risk analyses, what-if scenarios, contingency plans, technical information, significant changes of any kind, etc.)
  • Prioritize effectively and respond to urgent requests from EP team and the sponsor
  • Maintain a positive, results-orientated work environment
  • Lead team meetings on a regular basis to ensure project objectives are met
  • Conduct regular meetings with sponsors to ensure they are fully informed of project progress
  • Communicate fiscal, contractual, resource, deliverable and sponsor-related issues to appropriate channels
  • Accountable for sponsor satisfaction as measured by client survey responses and repeat business
  • Initiate the project following review of Lessons Learned to ensure current Best Practices are implemented
  • Define, plan and provide oversight of site selection strategy
  • Ensure team performance meets or exceeds both the business and their own personal goals and objectives
  • Maintain project progression according to quality standards, SOPs, ICH-GCP and/or other guidelines to fulfill local regulations
  • Oversee maintenance and quality check of regulatory files and investigator site files
  • Address identified and escalated project issues and drive to closure
  • Coordinate monitors and vendors according to the monitoring plan
  • Review monitoring feedback and ensure issues from on-site monitors are resolved in a timely way
  • Monitor study timelines, patient/subject recruitment, retention and data cleaning to ensure successful outcome of the project
  • Prepare, participate in and follow up on audits/inspections
  • Identify and manage CIS (changes in scope) in a timely manner
  • Manage the project budget including providing input into revenue recognition, milestone payments and monthly pass through invoices
  • Ensure project is archived and all documentation returned to the sponsor as specified the by the contract
  • Lead end of study meeting to ensure lessons learned information is documented and passed on via appropriate channels
  • Oversee all administrative closeout procedures are completed, including IRB termination, final milestone payments, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned





Qualifications

  • 2+ years Project Management experience with Parexel or 3 to 5 years related work experience in project management or related fields
  • Experience as Functional Team Leader in clinical/data management/logistics functions or proven experience in coordinating clinical trials
  • Presentation and public speaking skills
  • Business development experience
  • Budget/Contract experience
  • Knowledge of guidelines, ICH-GCP and other applicable local and international pharmaceutical industry regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
