We asked more than 200 employees how their managers help them succeed.

These six consistent themes emerged:

2. Investing in growth

Professional development is more than training programs and certifications. For our employees, impactful managers support skill building and new experiences, believe in their team's potential and provide hands on support when challenges arise.

3. Clear communication

Our employees shared that many managers make complexity feel manageable, provide guidance that empowers and create spaces where questions are welcomed and perspectives are valued. These managers help teams understand why their work matters and how it connects to larger goals.
