About this Role

Ensures imports and exports of CTS&L projects are conducted in accordance with the rules and regulatory requirements of customs and other applicable governmental agencies for the applicable countries. Manages daily imports and exports for the project by collaborating with relevant stakeholders, ensure the import/export tasks are executed in timely manner to meet project timelines.

Key Accountabilities:

Trade Compliance:

  • Coordinate documents, procedures and communication when Parexel is responsible and accountable for management of import and export of goods on behalf of the sponsor.

  • Ensure all documents follow the record keeping process in compliance with Parexel’s and local regulations.

Project Execution:

  • Responsible for arranging, preparing and confirming customs invoices are drafted according to project and local regulations.

  • Prepare and/or submit import and export license application in collaboration with Trade Compliance Coordinator, Trade Compliance Lead and/or Line Manager.

  • Attend project meeting to provide import/export task updates.

  • Collaborate with Trade Compliance Coordinator, Trade Compliance

  • Lead and/or Line Manager to ensure project details are understood and import/export processes are executable for it.

  • Monitor shipments and customs clearance. Communicate status, delays to appropriate parties. Resolve shipment issues and possess the ability to determine when to elevate to management for resolution.

  • Track import/export licenses for quantity and expiry date. Inform and/or prepare and/or submit import/export license application.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Knowledge of supply chain, international trade in healthcare or other industry.

  • Knowledge of customs and/or clinical development.

  • Adequate experience in communication with customs brokers and other third-party logistic providers.

  • Basic experience in working with global virtual teams and collaborative environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Fluent English.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or master's Degree (e.g. Pharm. D.), in biology, pharmacy, or other health-related discipline, international trade or logistics business.
