About This Role

Position Overview

Advanced Analytics Associate will support in ensuring that all assigned projects are being conducted in an efficient manner and that quality and client satisfaction is maximized at all times -- ensuring the direction of the project and the quality of the deliverables meet the project objectives and the client needs. The Associate will support in maintaining client relationships on their projects as well .In addition, the individual will be expected to contribute to the continuing growth and improvement of the business unit through working closely with senior team members on business unit processes and initiatives as well as providing feedback to inform the team's focus and direction.

Candidates will be part of multi-disciplinary research teams and will be expected to statistical capabilities and methodological support at all stages of projects from planning to completion.  Duties will vary according to the nature of the projects. These may include supporting in the preparation of statistical analysis plans, writing programs to execute analyses, and assisting with the interpretation and dissemination of findings.  Candidate is expected to also support ongoing innovation objectives of the unit in the field of advanced analytic

Supporting Activities

Project Execution

  • Works effectively within a team environment but may work independently delivering services within their area of competence

Consulting Activities and Relationship Management

  • Follows and implements the organization’s consulting models and methodologies under the guidance of the Project Lead and/or Technical SMEs
  • Delivers consulting services within personal area of expertise under the guidance of the Project Lead and Technical SME
  • Completes assigned activities within project scope and objectives with an understanding of issues which may impact project profitability under the direction of the project lead/manager
  • Identifies project and internal issues to senior colleagues and project lead/manager and provides proposed solutions
  • Interacts professionally at all working levels within a client organization and within Parexel
  • Identifies project and/or client needs to the project lead/manager and collaborates with senior staff to define a proposed solution
  • Interactions result in clients expressing satisfaction with service provided
  • May assist in preparing and/or delivering a presentation with the support of senior colleagues
  • Identifies and alerts PC management to opportunities for follow-on business or necessary changes in project scope

Business Development

  • Continue networking within the industry (i.e. maintain contacts and relationships with clients / data vendors once engagements are complete)
  • Communicates potential new business lead to SL lead and RWD management team.

Parexel – Related Responsibilities

  • Meets established metrics as specified in scorecard on an annual basis
  • Completes basic job-related responsibilities, including timesheets, expense reports, maintenance of CVs, project deliverable archiving, participation in internal initiatives/projects or as a mentor as requested by management
  • Defines self-development activities with the support of management in order to keep current within the industry

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in data science, Statistics, or related fields, and are skilled in RWE, epidemiological concepts, secondary database analysis, and R programming

Minimum Work Experience

2-7 years of experience in Advanced Analytics.
