Senior Systems Engineer - Virtualization

Essential Functions:
- Leads complex systems projects both regionally and globally.
- Provide consultation and direction to IT Management and Infrastructure teams across multiple
- technology disciplines.
- Escalation point for regional and global technical issues from junior team members and IT teams.
- Responsible for technical management, operation and maintenance of Server infrastructure.
- Monitors and maintains Systems and Services.
- Investigates and resolves problems, inefficiencies, and performance issues.
- Evaluates, tests, and recommends solutions.
- Implementation of Systems and ensures quality standards.
- Provides ongoing information to management and peers regarding the general health of the
- environment, as well as enhancements and innovations.
- Keeps updated on industry trends and emerging technologies as applicable to Parexel.
- Keeps IT management abreast of any changes in the technologies which may impact business
- Decisions.
- Required to participate in an on-call rotation.
- Required to have a solid understanding of VMware VSAN and VCF.
- Required to have a solid understanding of Cisco UCS hardware platforms.
- Solid understanding of networking and storage arrays/networks is desired.
- Solid understanding of Zerto is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience is required.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or equivalent.
