About This Role

Parexel Early Phase Clinical Unit supports the development of innovative new medicines which are vital for public health, improving outcomes, and saving lives. The early phase and “first in human” trials are the first step in testing these novel treatments in humans.

At Parexel Baltimore, MD unit the Project Management Assistant provides project administrative support to the Project Management department. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills to help anticipate the needs of project managers. This is an excellent position for someone looking to grow their career in project management.

This position allows employees to work remotely 75% of the time. The other 25% of the time will be onsite. Applicants must be local to the Baltimore, MD area.


What you’ll do after training is completed (including but not limited):

  • Coordinating with Project Manager or Clinical Lead to complete IRB/EC submissions and maintain IRB correspondence according to IRB guidelines and regulations
  • Serving as primary contact and liaison for IRB/EC and informing team members of any new information or modifications which may affect their responsibilities.
  • Supporting communications among team members with timely and accurate distribution of materials and by maintaining Project Management files and meeting minutes of key meetings as required
  • Assisting in preparation and QC of documents as requested by PM
  • Preparing project timelines and team contact lists
  • Managing and coordinating the client survey and clinical trial insurance processes
  • Serving as backup point of contact for PM or Clinical Lead communications
  • Preparing and maintaining regulatory documents
  • Maintaining up to date laboratory documents
  • Composing professional business correspondence for the PM team, clients and outside vendors
  • Preparing and filing invoices
  • Scheduling and preparing for monitoring and sponsor visits
  • Booking travel and prepare expense reports
  • Supporting and coordinate contract review/signature process with the Parexel contract team

Your Profile:

  • At least 1-2 years of clinical research experience at the site level
  • Required experience with IRB submissions and/or TMF filing maintenance
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating System and the MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's degree or High school diploma with equivalent experience
  • Experience with Veeva Vault highly preferred

Base Pay Range: $25.00 to $31.00 hourly

Actual salaries may vary within the range based on several factors including, but not limited to education, training, experience, professional achievement, and location.

In addition to base salary, some roles may be eligible for participation in Parexel’s annual performance-based bonus plan, annual salary review and additional total rewards incentives.
