About this Role

We are currently hiring a Principal Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Berlin! In this role, you will develop and implement human resources solutions in support of business objectives, strategic goals and human resource initiatives for the German region. You will be part of an exciting and dynamic team and work with colleagues, both locally and globally. This role will act as primary liaison between Parexel and the country Works Council.

In this role you will;
  • Act as primary liaison between Parexel and the Works Council.
  • Analyze human resources data for your business area to identify opportunities for improvement. Implement solutions to enhance service quality and cost effectiveness, i.e., labor turnover trends, absence management etc.
  • Identify talent development needs within your business groups and work with the Global Human Resources Business Partner and Training Business Partner to ensure availability of employee development.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition (TA) to attract top talent into the German Business Unit through targeted recruitment activities e.g., Behavioral Interviewing for certain managerial roles.
  • Lead country and regional projects and initiatives, including restructuring and reorganization efforts, working together with the Global HRBP.
  • Coordination and/or support of global human resources processes for designated client group within your region(s) e.g., salary planning, performance management cycle etc.
  • Deliver relevant HR programs and training modules on a rotational basis.
  • Mentor other HR Colleagues and/or act as an advisor or coach as a Subject Matter Expert.
  • Working on ER case management in Germany, ensuring compliance with legal framework.
  • Cooperate and work together with Line management, Works Council etc.
  • Drive and oversee local compliance with the law and regulations; communicate changes/development in operations HR Policy procedures to key stakeholder

Qualifications :

Key skills to enable you to be successful in this role include;
  • Business consultation and strategic thinking skills are key in this position.
  • Working knowledge of, and ability to partner with, human resources functional Centers of Expertise (Compensation and Benefits, Talent Acquisition, L&D) in order to achieve common HR and Business goals.
  • Creative in problem solving, ability to think outside the box and operate constructively in a changing environment.
  • Flexibility & Adaptability!
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization (through both German (equivalent mother tongue) and English)
  • Ability to manage large, complex projects and develop cross-functional support and reach agreements.

Knowledge, Education and Experience;
  • 8 + years of experience in a progressive HR Business Partnering role, gained largely in Germany.
  • Experience managing a German Work Council, preferably in a multinational organisation.
  • Bachelor's degree, professional HR qualification preferable.
