About this Role

In this role as an Employee Relations Specialist, you will develop and implement independent human resources solutions in support of business objectives, strategic goals, and human resource initiatives for the designated business unit. Additionally, you will perform duties associated with human resources areas such as employee onboarding, employee relations, employee retention, and local/regional Human Resource Business Partners. Additionally, this candidate will act as a human resources consultant to counsel and coach employees and managers on different/wide range of topics.

Organizational Effectiveness and Talent Management

  • Analyze human resources data for business area at the country level to identify and communicate opportunities for improvement.

  • Identify talent development needs within business area and work with Global Human Resources Business Partner and Training Business Partner to ensure availability of employee development which is aligned to functional and organizational objectives.

  • Seamless execution of a full range of duties aligned to development of employees to ensure their performance meets and/or exceeds both business and personal goals/objectives, i.e., coaching and mentoring, onboarding, performance management, and HR service delivery.

Project & Program Management

  • Ability to manage projects and develop cross-functional support and reach agreement while supporting implementation of Business Unit/Functional initiatives within the business area supported.

  • Provide support to the Global HR for various business processes, such as Annual Salary Planning, Performance Management, Compensation Reviews, etc.

  • Initiate and contribute to country/regional level projects or process improvement initiatives.

  • Deliver human resources programs and process training to Line Managers.

Coaching

  • Provide leadership coaching for middle management while advising and providing guidance to line managers on local labor law and regulations, as well as internal HR process and procedures.

  • Drive client-centered solutions aligned with Parexel goals and local legislation.

  • Build solid, trust-based relationships with line management to ensure human resources is a respected resource in all things related to employees.

Employee Relations

  • Conduct investigations for employee complaints received through multiple channels including the Ethics Hotline, Line Managers, other HRBPs, etc.

  • Coordinate and disposition actions related to dual employment of candidates and current employees.

  • Advise and drive compliance for the Americas as it relates to Unauthorized Disclosure of private information along with driving local compliance with labor laws and regulations within supported country, specific to processes that span the full life cycle of an employee.

Skills

  • Demonstrate integrity in all business interactions and honors personal commitments.

  • Experience conducting investigations including the development of recommendations for investigation conclusions.

  • Capacity to understand people issues impacting the business and working knowledge of Human Resources functional Centers of Excellence (Compensation and Benefits, Talent Acquisition, L&D)

  • Ability to solve problems constructively, while being flexible and adaptable at the same time while demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Manage complex tasks while having the end-to-end (E2E) process in mind, while using research methods effectively, including data collection, diagnostic, and analytical skills.

  • Is a high achiever with the motivation, tenacity, energy, and resilience to see things through to successful completion.

  • Maintain a positive, results-oriented work environment, building partnerships and modeling teamwork, communicating to the team in an open, balanced and objective manner.

Education and Experience

  • A minimum of 2-5 years of Human Resources related experience required with specific experience in Employee Relations investigations and resolution.

  • Bachelor's Degree required; with a professional Human Resources certification preferred.
