DescriptionofRoles and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and partner with Global Medical Affairs to ensure alignment of business objectivesand compliance with all applicable internal and external (U.S. and Country) policies and procedures as it pertains to requesting payments for Scientific Leaders (SL) globally.

  • Provide in-bound call and email support to maintain open communication with all customers regarding sponsor's policies and procedures as it pertains to payment to SLs globally.

  • Facilitate accurate reporting and year-end closing of expenses

  • Participate in business process analysis and associated requirements for enhancements and upgrades to various systems (SAP, Archer, etc.).

  • Responsible  forunderstanding  processes  which support  anyvoluntary  transparency,  PhysicianPayment  SunshineAct  andEFPIA  (European Federation   Pharmaceutical   Industries   and Associations).

  • Support in gathering required documentation to support audits and legal requests including but not limited to:  I RO (Internal Review Organization), eDiscovery, Region, Country and MCAAS (Sponsor Corporate Audit & Assurance Services)

  • Partner with the U.S Specialists, Global Professional Engagement Manager and Society Account Managers to ensure compliant payment and audit of company- supported Global, Regional, and local programs

  • Manage  allescalations  fromCRO  Payment Coordinator or Payment Specialist to ensure timely        and customer focused solutions.  

  • Deliver onboarding training to new CRO Payment Coordinator or Payment Specialist hires (including system access).

  • Provide team guidance to CRO associates on any market, country, or customer new processes or changes to ensure team compliance.

  • Assist GEMS Payment Associates with ad hoc assignments (including but not limited to Archer reporting, Matrix files, and developing/maintainingmacros)   

Minimum FTE Years of Experience

•  At least 2 years payment experience

•  Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining quality and meeting timelines

•  Proven ability to mentor and train new hires as well as promote best practices among tenured staff

Educational Requirement

Bachelor’s degree preferred; or one-year relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of 

education and experience.
